The Dylan Thomas Centre
Wide range of large-format graphics to celebrate the life and work of Dylan Thomas
Opened by former U.S. president Jimmy Carter in 1995, the Dylan Thomas Centre is home to all things literary and cultural for the city of Swansea. The collection contains unique archive material, rare manuscripts, artwork, photographs, books and original sound recordings.
Today the centre continues to operate as home to the literature and arts programme for the city, with a busy and thriving calendar of events. It also houses the only permanent exhibition on Dylan Thomas.
Working alongside specialist fit-out contractor The Hub, Leach was asked to provide its expertise and knowledge for a new exhibition that would transform this famous visitor attraction.
As part of the project Leach provided its unique Titan wallpaper solution. Produced up to 5 metres high x 20 metres in length, Titan not only provides impactful whole-wall graphics, it is also seamless with no visible joins.
Taking the surroundings into consideration and ensuring that the customer gets the very best outcome from the project, window graphics were specified and produced which would have minimum UV fading. In addition, Leach provided exterior Dibond panels attached to railings to provide the backdrop for a children’s playground and help to enhance the visitor experience.
Screen-printing, Vinyl graphics and wrapped MDF was also provided, as Leach demonstrated its wide range of skills and expertise. All graphics were installed by Leach’s experienced in-house team and ensured the final gallery and its graphics makes a lasting impression on each visitor.
The fabulous Dylan Thomas Centre, now has a complete installation of inspiring graphics for its permanent exhibition.
From impactful whole-wall graphics, to unique screen-print, MDF and Dibond panels, each graphic helps to showcase the work and life of Dylan Thomas, inspiring visitors now and for many years to come.
