Dudley Castle Hill
Research, content and design for Dudley Castle Hill
The content, graphics and associated illustrations needed to celebrate a specific aspect of each attraction, this included:
Dudley Zoo
A brief history of the Castle, along with an indication as to what visitors can see and do if they visit this attraction.
Black Country Living Museum
Archive photographs of the site before the Museum was first mooted, together with photos of its construction and extension over the years; the text tells the visitor about the Museum’s creation and the “story so far”…
Leach generated the text for each panel and sourced images and illustrations to meet the clients specification. Our in-house creative team supported the project and presented various assets which matched the look and feel of each site and the wider regeneration project which included sculpture, wall murals and trail leaflets.
The result was a series of outdoor interpretation signs across Dudley Castle Hill attractions. At Dudley Canal Trust, the signs illustrate and celebrate the famous canal tunnels and caverns as well as the newly opened visitor exhibition. The signage also provides a general introduction to the geology of Dudley, at Castle Hill and at nearby Wrens Nest.
